Aug 5 @ 10:00 am – 12:45 pm
Four Noble Truths @ Garchen Institute
Khenpo Tenzin will offer FREE Sunday morning classes on the Four Noble Truths, Buddha’s first teaching. After class, we’ll have a question and answer lunch with him – bring your bag lunch and your curiosity! What a wonderful opportunity to spend time in the beautiful Garchen Institute buddhafield, learning and practicing with a truly profound meditator and scholar of the Dharma.
The Four Noble Truths are:
1. Life is Suffering.
2. Suffering has a cause.
3. This cause can be abandoned.
4. There is a path for accomplishing this.
The Four Noble Truths elegantly state what is true in our every day experience. These Truths act as a framework for understanding experience, as well as a roadmap to skillfully navigate whatever arrises in our lives, showing us the most skillful way to shape our experience into a path of liberation.
