These practices are believed to promote longevity, protection, and the removal of obstacles, specifically directed towards H.E. Garchen Rinpoche’s well-being. Participants use provided texts, including the Yellow Prayer Book for opening prayers, all available on the institute’s website.

The Arya Tara & Jangchok for the Living is a spiritual practice session focused on “Burning Away Afflictions” and offering prayers for the living.  The practice of Arya Tara is significant in Tibetan Buddhism and is associated with compassionate action and protection from harm. The Jangchok ritual, which involves burning away afflictions, purifys negative karma and obstacles. These practices are an opportunity for practitioners to engage in collective prayer and spiritual purification for the benefit of themselves and others who are currently alive.
