Regarding the Five Booklets

H.E. Garchen Rinpoche said: “These five booklets are very important. I myself constantly rely on them as my practice. As I have gained some positive experiences, I print these booklets and distribute them to the students.”

“Among the five booklets, before I entered the labor camp, Lama Chime Dorje had taught me The Ganges Mahamudra and The Thirty-Seven Bodhisattvas’ Practices. The Samantabhadra’s Prayer was something that I memorized secretly in the labor camp. As The Supplication to the Seven Taras is related to the ultimate truth, I also printed it after I went overseas.”

“The Sukhavati Prayer was something that I had memorized even before I entered the labor camp. Nowadays there are some people who are interested in the Dharma but have not received any empowerment or oral transmission. Such a person only needs to study and contemplate The Sukhavati Prayer, as well as visualize Buddha Amitabha and the Sukhavati Pure Land. When he/she passes away, it is 100% without a doubt that he/she will take birth in Sukhavati. Once in Sukhavati, he/she will be able to practice continuously, without birth or death, until buddhahood is attained. Therefore, it is very important.”
